Scottish waters coasts and islands are, and will remain, the core of our voyaging with Sessions and Sail.
We have made friends and explored music, harbours and communities all up and down this incredible coast, from the Firth of Clyde to the Hebrides, Orkney to Skye, Lochaber to Arran. in 2026 we will sail to Shetland for the first time!
On these voyages, you will sail aboard the beautiful steel brigantine Lady of Avenel, with a full Sessions and Sail crew - Skipper, Mate, Cook, and two sail-aboard tutors.
For more information on our Scottish voyages, see the voyage listing on our home page.
Lady of Avenel
The Lady of Avenel started life as a tug in Poland in the late 1960s. In 1994, she was converted, along with one of her sisters - now sailing under the name 'La Malouine' - into a brigantine.
The Lady of Avenel has been sailing the West coast of Scotland since 2011.
31 metres long overall, she has a homely deck-house saloon that can seat 18 musicians; a well-equipped galley; guest accommodation is in 6 twin-berth cabins below decks.
